Proud to have been chosen by the magazine l’EUROPEAN CANCER LEAGUES to be part of its handbook “How to Manage Cancer at Work”.
Around 1.6 million people of working age are diagnosed with cancer in Europe every year. As many European workers and employers are likely to face this situation, effective strategies and action protocols to help managing cancer at work are increasingly necessary.
In this context, the European Cancer Leagues – Patient Support Working Group is launching a handbook on managing cancer at work targeted to employers, managers, HR professionals, public bodies, and civil society organisations.
The handbook explains why employers must adopt a comprehensive policy and set of procedures to effectively manage cancer in the workplace, providing useful tips to support those affected by this disease.
The publication is aimed at all types of employers across Europe – from big corporations to SMEs and NGOs to public administration – and spotlights key issues like employees returning to work after a cancer treatment.
