Here at Tapla we have some great news to share with you today that we are particularly happy about.
We’ll be taking part in an upcoming project with the NGO CAT SYA, who define their mission as follows:
“Our mission in Africa is to help improve education for children, young people and women; to provide basic facilities for schools and healthcare centres; and to promote activities to generate income for the people we work with.”
To achieve these goals, they need the support of companies and organisations to make this aid a true opportunity for a better future.
This vision sets the CAT SYA project apart and makes it an inspiring example. Here at Tapla we are extremely proud to join them in this initiative.
We also want to quote CAT SYA on the project:
“The top priority of the CAT SYA trades training project in Kotedougou (Burkina Faso) is to ensure social integration of girls and young men in isolated rural areas, protect them from the exodus they often face, allow them to learn a trade for their future and make a living, and give them the tools to live on their own and be self-sufficient.
The project, still in the initial phase, received support from Industrias Tapla this academic year to help 35 students and apprentices, 12 in carpentry and 23 in dressmaking.”
